There are meals that feed, and there are meals that remember. On 2nd November, BKC opens its kitchen to Sohini Banerjee for a onenight Supper Club that captures the heart of South Kolkata its mustard oil magic, gondhoraj scent, and the lingering sweetness of
khejur gur. This menu is more than a collection of dishes; it’s a love letter to the kitchens and coffee houses of Bengal.

The evening begins with South Kolkata Phuchka with Aloo Dum, the gateway to nostalgia, followed by the playful heat of Tamarind & Shrimp Paan Bite, the earthy comfort of Mochar Chop, and the soulful Coffee House Mutton Cutlet each paired with a refreshing Gondhoraj Rose Shot.

The main course unfolds like a Bengali household on a festive day: Shukto’s gentle bitterness, the smoke of Begoon Pora, Mouri Dal with green apple and fennel, and the golden glory of Kashundi Narkol Fish. Rich, yoghurtlaced Niramish Mangsho pairs beautifully with Loochi
and Gobindo Bhog Rice, before dessert brings the crescendo Makha Sondesh and Khejur Gurer Payesh, two sweet endings that taste like homecoming.
